Nigerian Military Operations in Kwara State
In a bid to flush out Islamic militias who are trying to enforce Sharia Law on citizens of Kwara State Nigeria, the military has embarked on a very strong campaign in the state. Islamic Clerics and sympathizers like Sheikh Gummi have been heavily criticized for saying – people of Kwara State should embrace Sharia Law for peace to reign.
This goes a long way to show how lawless the country has become where acts of terrorism are condoned and enforcing religion on the masses in a circular state such as Nigeria is considered a norm.
The Operation Savannah Shield carried out a clearance operation in Edu LGA, Ifelodun LGA of Kwara State to dislodge terrorist camps in the area on Sunday 15th February, 2026.
