Veteran Actor Pete Edochie laments over high cost of Electricity and Fuel.

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has revealed that he spends ₦40,000 ($28.84) every single day to keep electricity running in his home, highlighting Nigeria’s deepening power crisis. Speaking in an interview on African Independent Television (AIT), Edochie explained that he spends up to ₦1.2 million ($8,649) monthly on costs, including electricity, diesel, and petrol for his generators. He expressed frustration over the worsening power supply, saying political leaders seem more interested in power than in solving the hardship affecting ordinary Nigerians. The situation reflects what many households across the country are facing, with power generation dropping due to massive gas shortages, leaving millions with only a few hours of electricity daily.
