All Nigerian GSM Companies now use a unified code

Nigerian mobile networks now use a unified set of USSD codes for common services like airtime recharge (

*311** 311 **311*) and data balance (

*323** 323 **323*); however, individual network codes still exist for other services and to identify the network operator. For example, the prefixes

080608060806 (MTN) and

080708070807 (Glo) are used to identify the mobile operator, while

311311311 is the universal code for credit recharge across all networks.
